Xavi García, a member of FC Barcelona and a special client of Brilianto, has acquired several pieces from the exclusive Etern Spotify Camp Nou and 125th Anniversary Diamond Collections. In an open conversation, he talks about Barça's values, his passion for the club — "I’m especially drawn to the collective feeling" — and how diamonds represent identity, history, and emotion.
Diamonds from the Etern Spotify Camp Nou Collection
How did you discover the Etern Spotify Camp Nou collection?
I found out about it through a newsletter from the club that I received as a member. From the Etern Spotify Camp Nou collection, I chose two pieces. One of them is the limited edition pendant, which replicates the stadium and is made of 18K yellow gold-plated silver, with a 0.10-carat diamond set in it. The other piece is the pin with the Barça crest, which also has a brilliant diamond set in it.
125th Anniversary Diamond Collection
In celebration of the club’s 125th anniversary, the 125th Anniversary Diamond Collection was released. You also selected some pieces. Which ones were they?
The pendant, which features a 0.5-carat diamond set under the club's crest, and the bracelet, which also has a 0.5-carat diamond.
Diamonds for Valentine's Day
What made you choose the 125th Anniversary Diamond Bracelet and the 125th Anniversary Diamond Pendant?
They are refined pieces with excellent design. They also make perfect Valentine’s gifts. The pendant and bracelet are gifts for my wife.
Handcrafted jewelry
What would you highlight about the design?
I loved many details, and I recognize great craftsmanship. I really like how the pendant from the Etern Spotify Camp Nou collection was elegantly simplified, with characteristic details that replicate the stadium. I work with complex surface design programs like NURBS [a type of 3D modeling that allows creating smooth, precise shapes] and I am sensitive to organic forms.
A sense of belonging to the club in a piece of jewelry
Do you like fine jewelry?
I enjoy jewelry, and I feel a strong connection to the club, which gives meaning to owning pieces that I can identify with. It's like carrying a piece of Barça with me. Additionally, I also look at these pieces from a professional standpoint, as I work in the CAD-CAM field, a technology with wide applications in the jewelry industry.
Lab-grown diamonds
Before discovering the Etern Spotify Camp Nou collection, were you familiar with the concept of 'lab-grown diamonds'?
Yes, I was already familiar with lab-grown diamonds. I knew that diamonds could be created from the ashes of a cremated person. So, I quickly understood the process of creating a diamond from the stadium's carbon.

Diamonds with a soul
Diamonds of unique origin. Diamonds with a soul.
Yes, it’s a very innovative and attractive concept. And it also strengthens your connection with the club. In a way, you’re helping the club, of course. The Barça diamonds haven’t been the only memorabilia or unique pieces I’ve acquired.
A seat from Spotify Camp Nou and stadium grass
What other special purchases have you made?
I bought a stadium seat from Spotify Camp Nou, which I still need to find a place for. I also have a replica of the stadium with original grass and a rectangular resin prism that contains grass from the field.
Barça colors
When did you first feel the Barça colors?
Since I was very young. I’ve always loved football, and during my school years, I was lucky to have a big playground where I could play with the ball. My environment, of course, led me to feel connected to the Barça colors. My father was a supporter of the club, and he would sometimes take me to the stadium to watch a match. I fondly remember when, during the construction of Camp Nou for the 1982 World Cup, I would sneak through the fences with a schoolmate to watch the matches during the week.
The club's values
In other words, you could hardly have supported another team.
The environment has a big influence, of course, but ultimately, it's also a personal choice. Over time, I came to understand what Barça truly means, its values, and its history. One of the concepts that inspired me the most was what La Masia represents: developing football talent from a young age, while always keeping the values at the forefront. And it's true that no club is perfect, not even Barça, but there's something in the way they approach football that has always resonated with me.
"Més que un club"
"Més que un club," right?
Yes, of course. What made me feel connected to Barça was the sense of community. I consider myself someone who belongs to clubs and collective projects.
Clubs with a philosophy similar to La Masia
What other clubs do you belong to?
I’m a yacht captain and a member of the Club Nàutic de l’Estartit. I’m also a pilot and a member of the Aeroclub de Sabadell. For me, Barça, along with the other clubs I’ve mentioned and various projects I’ve been involved in, all create a strong sense of belonging.
Beyond sailing and aviation, do these clubs also attract you because of the values they share, like Barça?
Yes, of course. At the Club Nàutic de l’Estartit, for example, we teach 5-6-year-old children to sail using classic boats, the Optimists, which we call banyeretes. They learn to sail and grow up with solid values. At its core, it’s a philosophy very similar to La Masia.
A member since Guardiola’s first season
When did you become a member of FC Barcelona?
In the beginning, I had a fan card, a basic membership. I became a full member when I felt the club needed me, like many others. It was the 2007–2008 season, when we finished in third place, 18 points behind Real Madrid. The following season, Guardiola took over, and we made history.
History captured in diamonds
Barça made history. That history lives within FC Barcelona’s diamonds.
Yes, Guardiola’s total football that conquered the world is also part of those pieces.
