Brilianto will be an Official Sponsor of CSIO Barcelona 2026, which will take place from 1 to 4 October at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. The competition will bring together some of the world’s leading riders and host the final of the Longines League of Nations.
The company creates diamonds from carbon extracted from meaningful organic materials. In the equestrian world, that source can be a small sample of hair taken from a horse’s mane or tail. Sponsoring CSIO Barcelona marks another step in this relationship, which already includes collaborations with leading riders and specialist equestrian centres.
Brilianto at CSIO Barcelona
Throughout the four days of competition, Brilianto will have a stand in the Olympia VIP Lounge. There, the company will have the opportunity to talk with horse owners about the bond that develops through years of training, competition and shared experiences.
Horse owners will be able to discover firsthand how a small sample of hair taken from their horse’s mane or tail can become a diamond that preserves that bond in a unique way. Brilianto will also take part in various activities during the event, and brand ambassador and rider Sira Martínez will be there too.
From a horse’s mane or tail to a diamond
The process begins with a small sample of hair taken from the horse’s mane or tail, from which Brilianto extracts the carbon needed to create the diamond. The diamond is then grown in a laboratory from that carbon before it is cut, graded and documented.
Each diamond is linked to the identity of the horse from which the sample was taken. Its origin is not only unique, but also traceable.
One of the world’s leading equestrian events
CSIO Barcelona is one of Europe’s longest-running equestrian competitions. In 2026, it will celebrate its 114th edition, more than a century after its origins in 1902.
Over four days, 144 horses representing 14 countries will compete. The programme will culminate in the final of the Longines League of Nations, one of the world’s leading international team show jumping competitions.
Brilianto strengthens its ties with the equestrian world
Brilianto’s relationship with the equestrian world extends across several disciplines. Its ambassadors include Beatriz Ferrer-Salat, a two-time Olympic medallist in dressage; rider Sira Martínez; and polo player Sofía Schonlau. Brilianto also works with specialist equestrian centres such as Villa Equus, Barcelona Horses, Equus Centrum, Yeguada Bassols and Yeguada Torreluna.
One of the most personal examples of this connection is Beatriz Ferrer-Salat’s own story. She has chosen a small sample of hair from the tail of Quotenprinz, one of the horses she competes with, to create her own Brilianto diamond. The diamond is born of a bond built over years between horse and rider.
